Bob Lowden's Bio

Dr. Bob Lowden has served the First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown, as an accompanist, since 2015. During his career he has held a wide variety of positions.  Since the age of 19, he’s been a Music Director, Organist, Choir Director, Pianist, Keyboardist, Accompanist, and Baritone Soloist in several churches and has taught music at every level from Pre-K through 12, adult school and college. He was Artistic Director and Conductor of community choruses and was an accompanist for the Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia.  He also worked as an Accompanist, Assistant Chorus Director, and Instructor of Conducting at The College of New Jersey.  Bob has played piano in various restaurants in and around the Philadelphia area and has played for Governors, Dignitaries, and Celebrities.


Dr. Lowden currently teaches piano, keyboards, accompanying and improvisational techniques, theory, harmony, and voice.  He presents piano programs, concerts, and recitals for churches, nursing homes, assisted living and independent living facilities, schools, civic organizations, and business and corporate functions.


Bob has studied at The Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, The Philadelphia Musical Academy, The College of New Jersey, and Combs College of Music in Philadelphia.  He has a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano and Music Education, a Master of Music Degree in Choral Conducting, a Master of Music Degree in Music History, and a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Piano Performance and Music Education with an  Emphasis in Music Therapy.

Rev. William Stell's Bio

Rev. William Stell has served as the pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown since July 2016. He has written essays on faith, sexuality, and social justice for Huffington Post, Religion Dispatches, and Patheos. He received his M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary and his B.A. from Wheaton College in Illinois. In between his Master's and Bachelor's degrees, he worked at the Holy Land Institute for the Deaf in the country of Jordan.
